I used an old Umax PowerLook 2100XL run through a SCSI to Firewire convertor and the VueScan software. The software did a decent job at scanning, had some painful difficulties, but it did have a multiple exposure mode and could output DNG format, which was a plus. I may try and rescan them upside down to see if that improves the quality of the highlights and tones any.
